The Project
We are very pleased to announce the launch of the “Sun in the Age” project, an Erasmus+ funded initiative implemented by a partnership of organisations located in Lithuania, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, North Macedonia, and Poland. This project aims to improve the competences of adult educators on the innovative REMIND (Relaxation, Meditation, Mindfulness) approach in order to improve the quality of life of older people. Through its activities, Sun in the Age seeks to empower older people, promote active ageing and turn loneliness into a golden opportunity.
Objectives
The Sun in the Age project aims to create a significant positive impact. The REMIND practice approach can improve the skills and competences of social workers, carers and adult trainers in order to be able to support older people in an improved way. Through this project, we aspire to equip older people with knowledge about how to harness the power of the REMIND approach to their advantage. In addition, we seek to offer seniors the opportunity to enhance their stamina, reduce anxiety and stress, and keep their minds active, turning loneliness into an opportunity for growth and well-being.
Results
During the implementation of the project “Sun in the Age” the following results will be developed:
- Presentation of Good Practices and Case Studies of Mindfulness practices from partners’ countries.
- Development of a robust methodology for implementing the REMIND Training Course.
- Five-session workshops for older learners on a national level to enhance their skills and knowledge,
Benefits
- Improved skills and knowledge related to REMIND techniques for adult educators, leading to reduced work stress and anxiety.
