On Tuesday, June 4th, the partners of the European project “Women for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in Europe (WeSTEMEU)” visited p-consulting, among them the Region of Western Greece and the Computer Technology Institute & Press “Diophantus” (CTI).
The purpose of the visit was to discuss issues related to enhancing the presence of women in STEM fields and to present actions our company has undertaken to support women.
Initially, we were informed about WeSTEMEU, which aims to promote policies that encourage the employment of women in STEM fields. In this way, the project will contribute to the effectiveness and cohesiveness of the labor market and address the gender pay gap, as women will have access to higher quality and better-paying jobs.
From our side, we had the opportunity to present our project EmpowerAI, which aims to empower female entrepreneurs with the skills and abilities needed to effectively use artificial intelligence tools in their businesses. This will enable them to thrive in the modern, digital, and highly competitive environment.
From our discussion, we realized the necessity for such initiatives and actions that enhance women’s engagement in scientific professions and their familiarity with cutting-edge technologies. This will lead to a reduction in the gender pay gap, fill the increasing number of scientific job positions, and contribute to economic growth.
