From Migrant Education to VET – Developing Key Competences
The KEYS! project is being implemented under the Erasmus+ program, by 10 partners from Finland, Netherlands, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Slovenia and Norway.The project focuses on the specific group of migrant learners that need support.This project explore the current challenges in the field of migrant education and the importance of equal opportunities.
purpose
- Increase the number of migrants entering VET and getting a VET degree by developing their key competences
- Smoothen the transition from language/ integration training to VET levels 1–3
- Increase the employability of migrants and strengthen their social inclusion
- Develop migrants’ key competences so that they can cope with the different work-life situations in terms of continuity of employment
- Increase the cooperation between language teachers, VET trainers and employers
- Share awareness of the significance of the key Competences
- Share and implement best practices from the participating organizations and countries
