Students’ views about VET education

Drop the Baggage” and invest in your future!

One of the key issues which the educational community is facing at European level, is the early dropping out of VET education.

The main reasons, in most cases, are personal or family problems, learning difficulties, poor socio-economic situation, the educational system itself, educational environment, the relation between students and teachers.

EU is focusing in reducing the rate of early dropping out of VET education, through the implementation of innovative initiatives and projects.

“Dropping the Baggage” project

The “Dropping the Baggage – Investing in the future” is an Erasmus+ project, aiming to empower VET educators to develop a personalised approach in order to support VET students especially those who are in danger of falling out on vocational education.

For this purpose, a new innovative method will be developed called S.C.R.E.A.M.! (Strength, Collaboration, Respect, (self)Evaluate, Achieve, Motivate). This method will be applied by VET providers who want to approach the issue of early dropping out of VET education through new techniques and approaches by implementing personalized support and empowerment

Research to VET Student

εκπαίδευση σπουδαστών

In the current phase of the project, a primary research is being implemented to students in VET education.

The aim of the research is to record students’ views on issues related to: the educational process, the educational environment, their educators, educational approaches etc.

The research is being conducted in Greece, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal and Netherlands. The results of the research will be the basis for the development of the S.C.R.E.A.M- method and for the training of the trainers on issues related to holistic educational approaches.

Responsible organisation for the research in Greece is p-consulting.gr (project partner).
