The 3rd transnational project meeting in Patras, Greece, held on May, Thursday 4th and Friday 5th, brought together project partners from Finland, Germany, Belgium, Iceland, and Greece. The primary objectives of the meeting were to finalize the development of an online self-assessment tool, discuss the upcoming project results, such as validation of learning of soft skills and creation of micro-credentials. The online tool aims to empower individuals to evaluate the skills they have acquired through non-formal and informal learning procedures. Additionally, the meeting addressed the validation of learning processes in each partner country and the upcoming Learning and Training Activity in Marburg, Germany.
During the meeting, the project partners devoted significant time and effort to finalize the self-assessment tool. Designed to enhance self-awareness and support individuals in recognizing and evaluating their acquired soft skills, the tool provides a structured framework and relevant questionnaires. Through collaborative discussions, the partners ensured that the tool’s design, content, and user-friendliness address a wide range of users. The successful finalization of the self-assessment tool represents a significant milestone for the project.
The project’s overarching goals of recognizing, validating, and assessing skills acquired through non-formal and informal learning procedures were emphasized during the meeting. In today’s dynamic job market, it is crucial to acknowledge the competencies individuals gain through various life experiences, volunteering, or hobbies. The self-assessment tool developed by the partnership addresses this issue by empowering individuals to confidently understand and articulate their skill sets. Moreover, the tool will guide individuals in validating their skills through micro-credentials, ensuring their recognition and relevance.
In conclusion, the 3rd transnational project meeting in Patras, Greece, marked a successful advancement towards promoting the recognition, assessment, and validation of skills acquired through non-formal and informal learning procedures. The finalized self-assessment tool will enable individuals to effectively evaluate their competencies. By providing tools and opportunities for individuals to recognize and utilize their skills, the project aims to enhance employability, foster personal growth, and foster a society that values all forms of learning.
