On November 24th, a piloting session was held in Patras for the DigEqual project, which aims to embrace awereness regarding digital exclusion and e-government services.
The project focuses on developing innovative tools and methods to improve the interaction between governments and citizens, as well as improving the skills and competencies of adult educators and low-qualified adults. One of the key solutions developed by the project is a quest-based interactive web-app, which follows a gamified approach and can be used as both an educational and self-learning tool. The web-app is particularly useful for disempowered and culturally diverse groups who may face additional barriers to accessing e-government services. The DigEqual project is a European initiative that seeks to define the main skills and expectations for e-government interaction by adults, develop innovative solutions for educational centers working with adults, and improve the skills and competencies of adult educators and low-qualified adults. The project is deeply rooted in the everyday activities and difficulties faced by citizens and aims to make access to online services and e-government simpler for everyone.
After the successful piloting session organized by p-consulting.gr, the participants found the DigEqual project and the e-platform quite interesting and they expressed their enthusiasm for using it as both an educational and self-learning tool and they’re looking forward to also use and test the web app.
