Training for caregivers of people living with dementia.

Online training course for professional and informal caregivers of people living with dementia.

p-consulting.gr and  KOISPE – FAROS are organizing an online training course for caregivers of people with dementia.  

The course is aiming at upgrading competences and skills of caregivers of people living with dementia, regarding issues that concern dementia and the study of traditional non-pharmacological or behavioural interventions for people with dementia, focusing on Cognitive Stimulation Therapy.

The training course is targeted to:

  • Professional caregivers of people with dementia.
  • Professionals in the health and care sector.
  • Family members of people with dementia.
  • Informal caregivers of people with dementia.

The training will have a duration of 4 weeks in total (from 15.03.2022 until 11.04.2022) and will be implemented by distance learning method. At the same time, there will be held 2 online meetings on the following dates:

  • 1st online meeting. Tuesday, 15.03.2022.
  • 2nd online meeting. Monday, 28.03.2022.

The modules that will be presented explicitly during the training are as follows:

  • Module 1: Types of dementia and different approaches for caregivers of people with dementia.
  • Module 2: caregivers of people with dementia.
  • Module 3: Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) for people with dementia.
  • Module 4: Dementia Friendly Environments.

The participation in the training course is free of charge and upon completion, the participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
