The Multiplier Event for the European Project LOST is completed<\/h3>\n

On Tuesday, September 10, the Multiplier Event for the European Project <\/span>LOST<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span> was carried out by <\/span>p-consulting.gr<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span>, project partner in Greece. The event took place at the Chamber of Achaia. The Multiplier Event focused on the disappearances in Greece and Europe. The purpose of the event was to inform, the public, about the objectives of the Project and especially about the dimensions the serious phenomenon of disappearance has reached.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Multiplier Event was opened with the greeting of Vice-governor of Achaia Mr. Charalabos Bonanos. Ms. Charitini-Maria Skoulidi and Mr. Panagiotis G. Anastassopoulos from p-consulting, presented the concept of the Project and provided useful information to the public. Then followed the presentation of Ms. Maria Loy from the Smile of the Child about their role in the cases of disappearances of children.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the second part of the Multiplier Event, Mr. Gerasimos Kourouklis, executive director of \u201cSilver Alert\u201d and Ms. Kalomoira Bazely, the sociologist-criminologist of the Organization, shared useful information and statistics on disappearances of adults and elderly in Greece. Dr.<\/span> Apostolos Veizis, Program Director for Doctors Without Borders, made a presentation for refugees and immigrants and their disappearance rates. <\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, Mr. George Tsoukalis, a private investigator and UNESCO Cultural & Heritage Advisor for Piraeus and Islands mentioned the contribution of media to the disappearance of individuals and how they can play a positive role in the research process. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the end of Multiplier Event, Mr. George Hatzis, second in command of the Disaster Management Unit of Patras,<\/span> presented the rescuers’ side and helped the public to see the big picture of their experiences during an investigation process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Public interest throughout the event was great, as the presentations were followed by extensive discussion between speakers and attendees. <\/span><\/p>\n
