It encompasses a wide range of elements, such as natural and man-made landmarks, archaeological sites, museums, monuments, artworks, historical cities, literary and musical works, audiovisual creations, and the customs, traditions, and knowledge of European citizens.<\/p>\n
Preserving Europe’s cultural heritage and integrating it into the educational process hold immense significance as they contribute to the delivery of high-quality education. The i-School project works towards this goal by incorporating digital tools into the educational framework. Additionally, the project aims to establish strong connections and partnerships among schools, cultural institutions, and related organizations.<\/p>\n
In pursuit of these objectives, our project i-SCHOOL<\/a>, actively promotes European initiatives, including the European Heritage Days.<\/p>\n The European Heritage Days is a collaborative effort between the European Union and the Council of Europe, which initiated this event in 1985. It has grown to become one of the most widely celebrated cultural events in Europe, encouraging active participation.<\/p>\n During the European Heritage Days, numerous monuments and sites that are often inaccessible to the public throughout the year open their doors. This provides an opportunity for people to visit these places for free, gain insights into their shared cultural heritage, and actively contribute to the preservation of Europe’s heritage for present and future generations.<\/p>\n The chosen theme for this year’s European Heritage Days is<\/strong><\/i> “Living Heritage<\/a>,” highlighting the transmission of practices, knowledge, and skills from one generation to the next.
