The partners of the\u00a0<\/span>FOCUS<\/span><\/a>\u00a0project came together\u00a0in\u00a0Perugia from 21\u00a0to 24 April 2026 for an intensive and highly productive week, combining a Transnational Project Meeting\u00a0with\u00a0a teacher\u00a0training. The meeting marked an important milestone, as the project is approaching the final stages before the launch of its Online Training Program\u00a0and Digital Educational Games.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0meeting,\u00a0held on 21 April, brought together all partners to review the overall progress of the project. Discussions focused on the status of all\u00a0activities carried out so far with an emphasis on the Training material of the Online Training Program. Each module was carefully reviewed in terms of quality, completeness, and coherence, ensuring that the final course will meet the needs of foreign language teachers working with learners aged 6\u201312 with learning difficulties. Partners also clarified responsibilities and deadlines for the final steps of implementation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From 22 to 24 April, the focus shifted to the training, where 20 foreign language teachers\u00a0participated\u00a0in a hands-on learning experience based on the FOCUS Online Training Program. The training was designed to reflect real classroom needs and to provide practical, applicable knowledge.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Over two full days, participants worked through all six modules of the course. They explored key topics such as understanding learning difficulties, applying inclusive and differentiated teaching strategies, and strengthening collaboration with families. The training also introduced innovative approaches, including Digital Game-Based Learning and the use of Artificial Intelligence in education, highlighting their potential to support inclusive language teaching.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0methodology\u00a0of the training was highly interactive. Each module combined short presentations with discussions and workshop activities, allowing participants to actively engage with the content. Teachers\u00a0analysed\u00a0case studies, adapted classroom tasks,\u00a0participated\u00a0in role-play scenarios, and designed their own micro-lessons using the FOCUS digital games. This hands-on approach ensured that participants not only understood the concepts but also felt confident in applying them in their own teaching contexts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond the formal sessions, the week in Perugia also strengthened the partnership on a human level. Informal discussions, shared meals, and the partnership dinner created space for deeper collaboration and exchange of ideas. These moments are essential in building trust and\u00a0maintaining\u00a0the strong cooperation that\u00a0characterises\u00a0the FOCUS consortium.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
