From 12 to 14 November 2025, the partners of the Erasmus+ MICROIDEA project gathered in Reus, Spain, for the Fourth Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by DomSpain. The meeting provided an important opportunity to review progress across all Work Packages and prepare the next steps of implementation.
During the sessions, partners discussed the updated occupational profile, the completed micro-credentials, and the development of the certification scheme. The University of the Peloponnese presented the latest version of the AI-based labour market intelligence tool, while DomSpain shared updates on the national training teams and preparations for piloting activities. The consortium also examined dissemination results, website statistics, and upcoming communication actions. The meeting concluded with a detailed planning session for early 2026, ensuring that all partners are aligned and ready to move into the piloting phase.
As part of the meeting agenda, on 13 November 2025, the partners also participated in the international hybrid conference “Microcredentials in VET: Opportunities for Employers and Employees, VET Centres, and Business Support Organisations”. The event was hosted by the Reus Chamber of Commerce and DomSpain, and brought together VET providers, employers, business support organisations, and policymakers from Greece, Spain, and Cyprus.
Speakers highlighted the value of micro-credentials for upskilling and reskilling, emphasising their role in improving employability, supporting career progression, and addressing sectoral skills shortages. Participants had the chance to explore the MICROIDEA training materials, the AI-based tools, and the developing certification scheme, gaining a clear understanding of how the project supports transparent, trusted, and flexible learning paths.
The conference encouraged dialogue between education and industry stakeholders and underlined the growing importance of quality-assured micro-credentials in modern VET systems.
Together with the project meeting, it showcased the consortium’s commitment to advancing innovative solutions for vocational education and training across Europe.
