Our Final Transnational Meeting for GreenVET in Italy

On May 13–14, 2025, the picturesque town of Cori, Italy, hosted the final Transnational Project Meeting of the GreenVET Pathway project. Supported by all project partners, the meeting brought together all representatives to share progress and co-develop strategies for embedding sustainability into vocational education and training systems across Europe.

The first day began with a warm welcome and a light icebreaker to set the tone for productive discussions. The agenda quickly shifted towards the project’s content, where the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented evaluation results and key takeaways from the Community of Practice which was developed by the participating VET schools from Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Latvia, Slovenia and Egypt.

Attention then turned to the GreenVET online path. The sessions recapped implementation guidelines and presented the technical structure of the platform. They also provided valuable instructions on selecting suitable visual resources and open educational resources for the digital platform, which will serve as a core tool for supporting VET institutions in their green transformation. The day ended with a collaborative effort to develop templates that will introduce interactive features into the online platform.

After the workday was over, it was time for the partners to let loose and enjoy themselves. We collectively gathered at a picturesque winery in the beautiful Italian countryside, just outside Cori, where we had the opportunity to try local wine and taste delicious local products. These moments of genuine interaction laid the foundation for meaningful relationships that will ultimately benefit the project, fostering better communication and collaboration on a deeper level.

On the second day, we mainly focused on project management and dissemination with two dynamic workshops: one on generating innovative dissemination strategies for the project’s second year, and the other dedicated to outlining the development of an instructional video.

The meeting concluded with partners sharing outcomes from the workshops, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that defines GreenVET Pathway. As the project moves into its next phase, the discussions in Cori reaffirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to empowering VET institutions as drivers of Europe’s green transition.

We would like to extend our gratitude to our gracious hosts, Polygonal, for organizing such a well-planned and welcoming meeting. Their warm hospitality greatly contributed to the success of the event.
