The 2nd Transnational Meeting of COOPSKILLS in Lithuania

The second transnational meeting of the COOPSKILLS project took place on December 11 and 12 in the enchanting and festive city of Vilnius, bringing together twelve partners from five European countries in an atmosphere of cooperation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful progress. This meeting provided the first opportunity for the consortium to reunite after the kick-off held in Thermi, strengthening the sense of cohesion and shared mission that defines COOPSKILLS.

The first day began in a warm and positive spirit as partners met again to work on the project’s next crucial steps. The first agenda item was an extensive presentation and discussion on the Road Map for the Reskilling Labs. This deliverable forms the foundation for developing effective, sustainable, and easily replicable Reskilling Labs at the level of local authorities, tailored to the needs of local communities and the demands of the green and digital transition.

This was followed by the presentation of the good practices research focused on motivating adults to participate in training. The session highlighted the results of the quantitative and qualitative research conducted among VET providers and adult education organisations across Europe. These findings offer valuable insights into what works, what does not, and which mobilisation strategies have the greatest impact in various socioeconomic contexts.

After a light lunch, the meeting continued with an in-depth discussion on the organisation and operation of the Reskilling Labs. Partners exchanged views, proposals, and experiences to shape a common implementation framework that reflects both labour market needs and the real capacities of municipalities and educational bodies.

The afternoon of the first day concluded with a relaxed stroll through Christmas-time Vilnius. The lights, scents, music, and unique festive atmosphere added a magical touch to the meeting, giving participants the chance to experience the local culture. The day ended with a friendly dinner, where partners enjoyed traditional Lithuanian dishes and had the opportunity to strengthen their bonds further.

The second day focused on one of the project’s most important upcoming deliverables: the development of the educational material. The discussion centred on how the training content will be designed, with particular emphasis on its gamification, aiming to make learning more engaging and effective for users. Additionally, partners discussed key issues regarding the project’s dissemination to ensure that its results reach the individuals and organisations that need them most.

The meeting concluded with planning for the next transnational meeting, which will take place in Nicosia in April 2026. With renewed energy and a clear roadmap, partners left Vilnius ready to continue their work dynamically, bringing COOPSKILLS one step closer to its vision: vibrant communities that learn, grow, and build their future with confidence.
