The Multiplier Event for the Project “TechSenior” is successfully completed!
The Multiplier Event for TechSenior, the European Project Erasmus+ -KA2, co-organized by p-consulting and KOSPE “Faros”, was successfully completed yesterday in Patras. The Event, that took place in the Chamber of Achaia in order to inform the interested audience for the Project ! The purpose of the event was to inform about the project objectives and the educational program for learning new technologies for people over 50 and attracted a large number of participants who expressed their interest in participating in the training program (either themselves or members of their family).
The Multiplier Event was opened by Professor Mr. Konstantinos Chrysanthopoulos, Professor of Pathology, University of Patras & President of the Pan-Hellenic Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology, with a very interesting presentation about the social and everyday life of the seniors. Then followed the speech and presentation of the professor, Mr. Nicholas Avouris, about how technology can help the elderly.
In the second part of the Multiplier Event, the Project partners from Greece, p-consulting and KOSPE “FAROS”, provided useful information to the public about TechSenior and the training program, which will be launched in May 2018 in Patras. Ms. Charitini-Maria Skoulidi and Mr. Panagiotis G. Anastassopoulos presented the Project in detail and answered the questions and queries of the public about the training program. Then, Mr. Koulis Stephanos concluded the Event with the implications of social isolation and how technology helps to overcome such problems.
Both participation and interest of the public were remarkable. The elderly participated actively by making comments and questions, and a great percentage expressed interest in completing the application for the training program.
