The Erasmus+ KA2 project Sun in the Age, focused on implementing REMIND practices—Relaxation, Meditation, and Mindfulness—to enhance the psycho-physical wellness of educators and social workers and improve the quality of life for older adults, held its final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) on November 20–21, 2024, in Leipzig, Germany. Hosted by Wisamar, the German partner, the meeting marked the culmination of a successful collaboration among European partners, including p-consulting.gr from Greece.
Highlights of the Meeting
The agenda spanned two days of productive discussions and strategic planning. The first day began with an opening session by Wisamar (Leipzig, Germany) and ŽISPB, the leading organisation from Lithuania, setting the tone for an engaging meeting. Partners reviewed progress across all work packages, focusing on key deliverables:
- Good practices and case studies
This report offers comprehensive insight into Relaxation and Mindfulness teaching within the EU, with a focus on their application for professionals working with older adults. It encompasses a compilation of best practices, training experiences, and impactful case studies illustrating holistic approaches. It is available on the project’s website in English and partners’ languages. - Blended Training Course for Educators
A 7-module training course has been developed, covering topics such as the benefits of REMIND techniques for educators, etc. The course is available online in English and partner languages. - Workshops for older adults
Materials are being developed, such as workshop plans and a digital booklet with evidence about their implementation and impact on the target -groups. The deliverable will be soon online, in English and partners’ languages.
Focus on Sustainability and Future Exploitation
The second day was dedicated to sustainability and exploitation strategies. Partners discussed mechanisms to ensure the project’s impact extends beyond its funding period, emphasizing the integration of its innovative tools into future educational practices.
Acknowledgments and Closing
The meeting concluded with a wrap-up of outstanding tasks, a reaffirmation of deadlines, and heartfelt thanks to all partners for their contributions. Dinner on the first evening provided an opportunity for informal networking and celebrating the project’s achievements.
