On May 6–7, 2025, the FOCUS project partners gathered in Nicosia, Cyprus, for the third Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by COMCY and OLYMPION. This crucial two-day event focused on reviewing progress, fine-tuning ongoing activities, and aligning future steps regarding the development of the forthcoming digital games and the online training course.
The first day began with warm welcomes and the joy of reconnecting after nearly a year. Over a pleasant cup of coffee, we exchanged updates and gradually transitioned into work mode. The morning sessions offered a comprehensive overview of the project’s current activities and achievements, led by the University of Ptuj with valuable input from all partners. This was followed by an in-depth presentation from p-consulting, outlining the development and finalization plan for the project’s innovative digital games. As we delved into the final details, it became clear once again that our partnership is built on strong collaboration and mutual respect—an inspiring team effort that continues to drive the project forward.
Afternoon sessions turned the focus on the macrostructure of the online training course with the University of Ptuj guiding the collaborative discussion on the course content, and all partners contributing to the development of the first draft of the theoretical training modules in English.
The day’s activities concluded with a guided cultural tour through the historic heart of Nicosia, offering us the chance to explore the rich and diverse history of Cyprus’s capital. This immersive experience was followed by a group dinner at a traditional Cypriot taverna—an ideal setting for bonding and cultural appreciation. Over delicious local cuisine, partners enjoyed meaningful conversations, strengthened their connections, and deepened the sense of team spirit that defines our collaboration.
Day two resumed with focused sessions dedicated to finalizing upcoming tasks and engaging in open, collaborative discussions. The meeting concluded with a strong sense of accomplishment and a clear roadmap for the next steps in the project.
This transnational gathering was a true reflection of the partnership’s spirit—marked by effective cooperation, mutual dedication, and a shared vision. As we continue to develop the digital games and online training course, the progress made in Nicosia will be instrumental in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, inclusive educational tools.
We extend our sincere thanks to our wonderful hosts for their warm hospitality and for making this meeting a memorable and productive experience.
