The 2nd Transnational Meeting of the CJLL Project

At the end of July, the partners of the Climate Justice Living Lab (CJLL) project met online to discuss the completed project processes, their success, and the upcoming activities for the following months. Representatives from the Law Schools of the University of Palermo, Mariupol, and Tarragona participated, along with p-consulting, which serves as a technical partner in this project.

The meeting began with discussions on some technical aspects and tasks of the project and continued with comments on the success of the Summer School, which took place in person in Sicily during the first week of July. According to the shared opinion of the partners, the workshop was a complete success, with active participation from all involved. Following the Summer School, educational videos will be created and made available on the project’s website for all interested parties. Finally, it was agreed that the next training workshop, which will be held online this time, will take place in the early months of 2026.

The discussion then focused on the future steps of the project, specifically the development of the educational handbook and the curriculum for the training program. We thoroughly analyzed the distribution of activities among the partners and planned further meetings in the coming months so that the drafting of the handbook and curriculum will yield results comparable to the existing textbooks and courses in European Law Schools. Both deliverables are of utmost importance, as they will be responsible for educating the next generation of law students about Climate Law and the procedures they must follow as future professionals to protect and preserve the environment.

We concluded the meeting confident in the successful outcomes of the upcoming CJLL activities, as all partners remain dedicated to the tasks they have undertaken. In the coming months, the first videos from the Summer School will be available on the CJLL website. Stay tuned for our upcoming updates.
