The COOPSKILLS consortium gathered in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 28 to 30 April 2026 for a highly productive Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), combined with the project’s official Launch Event. The meeting marked a key moment in the project’s implementation, bringing partners together to align on progress, refine strategies, and strengthen collaboration ahead of the next phase.
The TPM provided a structured space for partners to present the progress of the Reskilling Labs across the four piloting countries—Greece, Spain, Cyprus, and Lithuania. Discussions focused on local learning needs, organisational aspects, and the next steps required to ensure effective mobilisation and engagement. Particular emphasis was placed on coordination between partners, evaluation processes, and dissemination strategies, ensuring that the project moves forward with clarity and coherence.
A central highlight of the meeting was the COOPSKILLS Launch Event, held online on 29 April. The event successfully brought together stakeholders from across Europe and beyond, including policymakers, VET providers, researchers, and representatives of local ecosystems. It offered a comprehensive introduction to the project’s vision, objectives, and early achievements, while setting the stage for future activities.
Beyond the formal sessions, the Nicosia meeting reinforced the importance of the consortium’s social and collaborative dimension. Informal moments, including shared meals and a guided city tour, created valuable opportunities for partners to connect on a personal level. These interactions are not secondary; they are essential for building trust, facilitating open communication, and strengthening the partnerships that underpin successful project implementation.
This balance between structured work and informal exchange contributed significantly to the overall success of the meeting. Partners left Nicosia not only with clear next steps but also with a renewed sense of shared purpose and commitment.
Overall, the combination of the TPM and the Launch Event marked a strong milestone for COOPSKILLS. The project has successfully moved from planning to active implementation, supported by engaged partners, meaningful stakeholder participation, and a clear strategic direction. As COOPSKILLS progresses, this solid foundation will be crucial in achieving its goal of strengthening local skills ecosystems and promoting lifelong learning across Europe.
We would like to warmly thank our hosts in Cyprus, Eurosuccess Consulting and the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for their excellent organisation and hospitality. Their contribution was essential to the success of both the TPM and the Launch Event, creating a welcoming environment for collaboration, exchange, and shared progress.
