p-consulting.gr is a member of a European research team working on the Project “Active Ageing of the Elderly with Intellectual Disabilities – AIDA” (2020-1-ES01-KA202-082528 E), which is being implemented with the support of the European Commission, through the Erasmus+ program.
The project is being implemented by organisations and educational institutions from four European countries: Spain, Greece, United Kingdom and Denmark. Project partner in Greece is p-consulting.gr.
Aim of AIDA
The main aim of the project is to enhance the knowledge and skills of trainers in care programs for people with Intellectual Disabilities, elders, and caregivers of people with Intellectual Disabilities, with regard to the active ageing of people with Intellectual Disabilities. To this end, an educational program will be developed, based on data from the analysis of the biological-phycological-social needs of the elderly with Intellectual Disabilities and the educational needs of their caregivers.
What the research is about?
Research is currently being carried out on professionals and care entities of people with Intellectual Disabilities. The aim of the research is to collect information on the main biological-psychological-social needs of the elderly with intellectual disabilities and their active ageing, as well as to collect information on the education of professionals in the care of the elderly with intellectual disabilities and active ageing.
