From February 4th to 6th, 2025, we had the privilege of participating in the Learning Teaching Training Activity (LTTA) in Reus, Spain, as part of the implementation activities of AGORA project. This event brought together partners from across Europe to engage in knowledge-sharing and interactive sessions focusing on sustainable and regenerative tourism. Below is an overview of the three-day program, highlighting the key activities and presentations related to the blended training the partnership has developed, to facilitate educators and end-users focused on regenerative tourism experiences.
Day 1: Introduction to AGORA and Co-Design Workshop

The first day commenced with a warm welcome from the host organization (DomSpain), followed by an introduction to the AGORA initiative and its objectives. A pivotal session introduced the AGORA learning path, forming the foundation of the blended training. Each project partner then presented a training module, covering essential themes such as Sustainable Tourism (p-consulting), Local Producers and Regeneration (Taste Roots), Community Networking (Eurakom), and Virtual Experiences (DomSpain). Further modules explored resources for developing community tourism (CCIN), practical tools for experience co-creation (BAWP), and communication and promotion strategies (GreenEscape).
In the afternoon, a hands-on co-design workshop engaged participants in developing innovative regenerative tourism experiences. Divided into multinational groups, attendees collaboratively defined key challenges, mapped the journey of tourists and stakeholders, and brainstormed solutions. The session progressed into the prototyping phase, where participants refined and visualized their ideas. The first day concluded with a cultural tour of Reus, allowing attendees to experience the local heritage firsthand.
Day 2: Deep Dive into Regenerative Tourism and Innovation

The second day featured thematic presentations and interactive workshops. p-consulting led an insightful session on navigating sustainable tourism, emphasizing the transition from fundamental principles to a regenerative vision. This was followed by Taste Roots’ engaging presentation on regenerative tourism experiences, using Reus as a case study.
Eurakom’s session focused on community-led regenerative tourism development, stressing the importance of local involvement and sustainable planning. A unique highlight of the day was DomSpain’s 3D printing activity, demonstrating how technology can support tourism innovation. The day wrapped up with a cultural visit, offering another opportunity for immersive learning and networking.
Day 3: Communication Strategies and Service Blueprinting

The final day started with an energizer session led by DomSpain and facilitated by CBE, setting a dynamic tone for the discussions ahead. GreenEscape facilitated an open session on communication and promotion in regenerative tourism, providing insights into effective storytelling and marketing strategies. A key workshop on service blueprinting followed, guiding participants through the process of mapping customer touchpoints to create transformative tourism experiences.
The event concluded with the teams showcasing their developed concepts. A final wrap-up session was held, and certificates were awarded to participants, marking the successful completion of the LTTA.
Overall, the LTTA in Reus was a highly enriching experience, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation within the AGORA project. We look forward to applying the insights gained in our ongoing efforts to promote sustainable and regenerative tourism across Europe.
