TECHSenior
TECHSenior is a two-year European Project, which started in October 2016 and is implemented under the Erasmus + (KA2) program.
The purpose of the project is to educate the elderly in the use of new technologies, with the aim of improving their standard of living and maintaining their autonomy in terms of their living.
More specifically, people over the age of 55 will be trained in the use of computers, with an emphasis on specific subjects that will help them remain independent and active in all aspects of their lives. The training will include, among others, modules on the use of web banking, electronic transactions, the purchase of products via the internet, such as super market products, tickets for participation in cultural events, etc., the appointment of medical appointments via the internet, monitoring their individual data e.g. at taxis and so on.
- Technology allows older people to remain active and independent in their daily lives
- Active aging creates well-being in daily life and supports recovery
- Professional caregivers and volunteers who come in contact with the elderly will be able to support them using the possibilities offered by the new technology
